It’s “Back bend week”
We will work the joints and muscles to enable us to discover what the back bends can make us experience.
Alongside the breath being fuller, thyroid is benefited, pelvic joints are more balanced; our mind is opened and we can experience ourselves more than a restricted body and mind.
In yoga we realise that something transcends body and mind. This insight totally transforms our relationship with life and others.
PLEASE NOTE- We will not be extending the neck back like this image - this is an image and not a real photograph of what the neck can do if we are fully releasing and aware of neck and spine. For students we always advise to keep the chin into throat and lengthen the back of the neck as this is the safe method.
Modifications are always offered to enable us to find a way to the inner experience of yoga
