Ahimsa- non violence

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced student of yoga - the teachings do not change they are are still the same.

Sadhana means practice and a sadhaka is one who practices, who applies his mind, intelligence with skill, dedication and devotion.

Patanjali- 1,12 practice and detachment are the means to still the movement of consciousness (aim of yoga is to still mind).

Patanjali expresses how the first steps to create and sustain a discipline to practice include.

Yama- 5 universal social practices

Niyama - 5 individual practices to build up the sadhaka’s character

Asana - postures

Pranayama - breathing exercises

We will work on becoming a more steadfast sadhaka with the Yama of “non- violence” and how we can detach from our own suffering which enables others to do the same, by influence and creating humility.

Using the asanas and pranayama in the practice and detaching. Om Shanti
