The inner opening experienced when in yoga is a means of clearing the suffering that is within.

The suffering we carry are thoughts with attachments to them and they are deposited in the pranic subtle body.
There are some thoughts that don’t create suffering and don’t meet the ego self. They just come and go and are harmless.
The suffering ones are those that are reduced and released in yoga and we feel open, expansive, alive more cheerful.
It is from the outer senses, the mind filters what we need to sustain the individual identity, the ego sense.
Thoughts that relate to who we think we are and sustain that identity whether they are about our likes and dislikes they are the same attachment.
Our past experiences and conditioning, beliefs contribute to what we hold onto that sustains who we are.
The overall reason for suffering is avidya meaning “not seeing, not having insight” to the Self.
Because we believe we are the body this creates an attachment for all other attachments.
When we experience an illumined opening in consciousness the thoughts stop. The Consciousness still carries on but it’s not disturbed by thoughts related to attachments.
Thoughts stop in yoga but the consciousness; citta carries on.
You are the consciousness that experiences thoughts and not the thoughts.
Om Shanti 🙏
