When we act, self study and surrender in yoga, we are purifying the patterns held in body and mind.

We are not doing an exercise to stretch, this is not yoga.


Kriya yoga ;  ref Patanjali Yoga Sutras is the practice to remove the mental attachments.


Tapas - action, purify, acceptance of pain

Swadhyaya - self study, mantra.

Ishavara Pranidhana - devotion, opening of the heart, surrendering to pure consciousness.

By surrendering to the unknown from the patterns in body/mind we are not only breaking away from repeating them but reconnecting to the source of oneness.
