Trataka, one pointed concentration practice.

Working with the Hatha Yoga text to experience how the oscillating mind relates to so many eye movements.
When there is only one object constantly seen as with the practice of Trataka, the brain becomes habituated and soon stops registering that object so there is a change in brain function and alpha waves are produced.
The mind switches off and an inner awareness of stillness, a consciousness without disturbances is revealed.
The health of the eyes is improved as well as helping with depression, insomnia, allergies, anxiety, postural problems, poor concentration and memory function.

Om Shanti
