Hatha Yoga is more than posture work.

In traditional Hatha Yoga, we don’t sculpt the body - all Hatha practices are steps to attain a still mind. A mind free of labels.
It is the mind that creates obstacles in the pranic body, underlying the physical body.
We believe they are in the physical body.
The pranic body is a life force that is with us all our life carrying consciousness.
Consciousness is the total of mind.
It is when the mind attaches to labels and identifies with them that creates obstacles.
All Hatha practices work on the pranic body to relase the attachments.
We can then use a direct perception of mind to look deeper inwards to the deeper layers of our Being.
There are 5 layers to our existence
Working with physical postures, and pranayama we can release the mental blockages to see deeper to the layers hidden.
They are Wisdom….Bliss….Joy.
This is more than perfecting postures and body appearances.

Om Shanti
