Hatha Yoga is more than performing postures

The reason for yoga is to stop the mind’s turbulence of thoughts.


Yoga Chitta  Vritti Nirodha - Patanjali Sutras 1,2 - the stopping of mental modifications is yoga.


When we are acknowledging and attaching to thoughts we are losing prana, life force in body.


Mind is ultimately a free flowing  consciousness that is being used up by thoughts.

Life force is linked to consciousness so we can feel drained, overwhelmed, dulled, tense, full of mindstuff.


When we practice Hatha Yoga and Meditation we unravel and detach from holding on to the thought disturbances and there is an experience of brightness, calm, peacefulness and a flow of life force.


We will see where in the body this brightness is covered and it is with a detached awareness of inwardly seeing in meditation.
