What happens when you observe inbreath?
What happens when you observe outbreath?
What happens when you observe to the end of outbreath and come into to the pause and stay in the pause until inbreath arrives?
All of the above effect body & mind….
=
a complete change occurs
increase in vitality (life force)
mental attachments/ patterns decrease, body purifies,
a stronger willpower,
personality and behaviour change to become more cheerful, understanding, kind & compassionate
less outer desires needed as feeling of inner fulfilment.
This is because the mind, breath and vital force called prana are all linked.
When mind is disturbed by mental afflictions so is breath disturbed and so is prana. When prana is stuck the body feels stuck, tense, lack of mobility, sluggish or aches.
In yoga we control breath, which controls mind and frees up prana flow.
When prana is free flowing and we feel this life giving force of vitality we are more pure in mind and body and the usual patterns that dominated drop away.
We will study the effects of breath, prana and mind in class this week.
Where does this take us?
…. to an experience when the mind’s disturbances cease altogether and so does breath.
….and a fullness of vitality; prana flowing freely.
….outward desires cease and a feeling of inner strength, contentment, love and life
Om
Shanti
