Detachment on all levels

There are 8 limbs to yoga practice and this week we will be working with detachment and non greed; one of the yamas which make up the first limb known as Aparigraha.


This can be associated with ourselves personally and in society.


We work with all levels in yoga; personally and socially, all leading to peace and harmony within and outside.


How much we hoard, want and need to make us happy and to feel like we fit into society.


A constant play of attachments and then we move on to the next.


This week we will practice in releasing and see that it is difficult.

Also in the mind aspect, we find there isn’t much identification with it, because  we have been conditioned to want more.


It is in the part of mind - the “I maker” that needs to be fulfilled and wants more.

In yoga the mind stills, the “I maker”is not in control but there is presence and contentment.

Body and mind are released.

With contentment the body becomes steady and comfortable, mind is clear.
